Katia is a creative visionary who seeks for the stories behind the stories.
She captures a feeling, an emotion on film to tell a visual tale in which she hopes to capture her subject's soul off guard. When shooting portraits she strives to highlight one's deepest self, that little part seemingly forgotten as one is often too caught up with living life, rarely reminded of certain pieces belonging to one's own puzzle. Inspired by powerful characters and wild dreamers Katia is constantly in search of new stories, not only as a photographer but also as a documentary filmmaker. A wanderer of the world, she lived in many places around the world but now is settled in Berlin, Germany. Often on the road and traveling the skies, her eyes seek to immortalise nature’s hidden beauty whether in colour or through the depth of black and white. She loves to chase light, a wise guide of the direction she looks for in life.
